Frequently Asked Questions

An interior designer does far more than select furniture or paint colors. Our role is to create a comprehensive plan for your home considering layout, function, materials, lighting, cabinetry, furnishings, and the countless details that make a home feel cohesive.
The goal isn’t simply to make your home look beautiful. It’s to help you make confident decisions before they’re expensive to change.
-
Typically, an architect designs the structure and ensures it functions technically, a builder brings those plans to life, and an interior designer focuses on how you’ll experience the home every day from room layouts and cabinetry to lighting, finishes, furnishings, and the flow between each space.
When everyone works together from the beginning, the result is a home that feels intentional from the inside out.
-
Hiring a designer isn’t about making your home look expensive, it’s about making thoughtful decisions from the beginning.
A well-planned design helps avoid costly changes during construction, creates a cohesive vision before purchases are made, and gives you confidence that every decision is working toward the same goal.
The result is a home that feels intentional, functions beautifully, and continues to serve you long after the project is complete.

The earlier, the better!
Whether you’re renovating or furnishing an existing home, involving a designer early creates the greatest opportunity to make thoughtful decisions before plans are finalized or purchases are made.
Good design starts long before the finishing touches.
