Every home is different.
Some clients are remodeling a kitchen they’ve lived in for twenty years. Others are furnishing a home they’ve just purchased.
No two projects follow exactly the same path, but they all begin with a conversation.
It starts with getting to know you.
Before we talk about paint colors or furniture, I want to understand how you live.

The answers to these questions shape every decision that follows.
We create a plan before making decisions.
One of the biggest misconceptions about interior design is that it starts with selecting finishes.
For me, it starts with a bigger picture.
We’ll first explore layouts, discuss priorities, establish the overall concept direction, and make sure every decision has a purpose before moving into the details.
I believe good design is about planning far before construction begins.
Then we begin layering in the details.
Once we have a clear vision, the fun really begins with selecting all of the materials, furniture, lighting, color, artwork…
The goal isn’t to just fill a room, it’s to create one that feels balanced, personal, and cohesive.
Every selection should support the larger story we’re trying to tell.
Design doesn’t stop when the plans are finished.
As your project moves into construction or procurement, JW Design is there to coordinate all the details, and make sure the vision stays intact.
It might be answering contractor questions on site, reviewing cabinet drawings, and making sure tile layouts and grout colors are finalized.
The work evolves, but the goal stays the same.
The final layer is bringing it all together.
The best part of the process is installation day!
It’s the moment when all of the planning, decisions, and details finally come together.
The furniture arrives, the art is hung perfectly on the walls, the lamps are switched on, the house starts to feel like a home.
More than anything, I want the process to be thoughtful.
Designing a home is a big investment, and it should feel exciting, not overwhelming.
My goal is to guide you though the process with a clear plan, thoughtful decisions, and plenty of collaboration along the way.
